Public Art for Your Community
The Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium brings world-class artists to Maine and elevates Maine artists into the world. Our project works to create a positive, memorable image of a place, thus increasing a community’s assets. These works of art enhance and beautify our parks and community spaces and help green spaces thrive. The resulting public outdoor exhibit adds to the legacy of local communities by creating a public art collection in an area where it did not exist before, actively revitalizing our communities. These elements are primary goals of the SISS mission, successfully achieved through the efforts of the unique exchange between Maine and International artists and their interaction with our local landscape.
