The Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium has worked in partnership with the following organizations to promote the arts, culture, and natural beauty of Downeast Maine.
Downeast Acadia Regional Tourism
Define your own True Maine in DownEast Acadia!
The glories of warm sun-filled summer days and breeze-cooled evenings. Hills ablaze with color and brilliant, canopied roads as Fall rolls in. Winter draped shores and lanes where the peace and solitude are broken only by the sigh of the wind and the crunch of the snow underfoot. The cycle of nature starts again with Spring’s first blooms. The peaceful sound of waves lapping the shoreline. The fun of a local festival filled with food, music, and local character. The thrill of experiencing nature up close. These are the indelible experiences that define True Maine. More information at Downeast Acadia Regional Tourism.
Downeast Fisheries Trail
From Penobscot Bay to Cobscook Bay, the Downeast Fisheries Trail connects historic and active fisheries sites that illustrate the region’s maritime heritage. Marine resources sustain the culture and economy of Downeast Maine. The Downeast Fisheries Trail builds on these local resources to strengthen community life and the experience of visitors. For more information visit the Downeast Fisheries Trail.
explore Maine
The Maine Sculpture Trail follows several Scenic Byways. The Bold Coast scenic byway is a 125-miles long route that extends from the coastal fishing community of Milbridge eastward along the coast to Lubec, the easternmost town in the United States, and then scoops around Cobscook Bay to Eastport. The Schoodic Scenic Byway route is 29 miles long and passes through the only mainland section of Acadia National Park and beautiful Schoodic Point. For more information visit Explore Maine.
